What it’s all about for HVN Architects
We are surrounded by architecture. It’s what gives form to the spaces, towns and cities which we inhabit. Architecture is one of the oldest inventions, being the most interactive art that you can find to this day. Therefore, each design has to be considered carefully.
Architecture is more than “lines on a page”, it is a companion to your everyday life. It’s the Architect’s craft to create the perfect companion for you.
It is the duty of an Architectural Professional to advise and guide you through the process of making your thoughts and dreams, a reality. With years of studying and building experience, it is knowledge that should not be taken for granted.
What do we need from you for a quote?
Client/Design Brief
Every design starts with the design brief.
- Location, address & Erf number
- What are your present and future needs?
- In what capacity do you require our services?
- Extent of the scope of works (m² as accurate as possible)
How do I get my Erf Number?
(This is only applicable for the Langeberg district. Your respective local authority may, however, have a similar platform through which to obtain your erf number.)
You can find it on the COGTA General Valuation Roll on Langeberg Municipality’s Website.
What do we need before we start designing?
- Your budget
- What you expect from us
- As much detail as possible pertaining to your aesthetic and design preferences.
Photo collages of your likes and dislikes provides excellent utility. It gives us, at HVN Architects, an idea what type of architectural style you like. Also knowing what you do not appreciate of an image can provide clarity just as robustly. It quickly gives us an idea of the “do’s and don’ts” specific to YOUR design.
Your collage does not have to look the same. You can use your own creative ideas. This is just an example.
You can make use of cut-outs, print-outs, drawings that you did yourself, etc. Anything to help us understand how you envisage your ideal home, place of commerce, institution, or industry.
